Important — Who Should Choose IISc

⚠️

IISc BS program is for students passionate about research careers in Science. It is NOT an engineering program — placements are limited compared to IITs. It leads to PhD at IISc, IITs or foreign universities.

✅

IISc PhD graduates can work at DRDO, ISRO, BARC, international research labs and top universities. PhD stipend: ₹35,000–55,000/month. Starting salary after PhD: ₹12–25 LPA in research roles.

💡

If you love Physics, Chemistry or Maths as a subject (not engineering applications) and want to pursue research, IISc BS is one of the best choices in the world.
